I moved to Seattle from Bakersfield, California (where I was born and raised), over eleven years ago, and it was love at first sight. Coming from “The Valley” to this breath taking city surrounded by beautiful green trees, deep blue waters and snow capped mountains; I thought to myself, “So this is what I’ve been missing”. I love Seattle, it is a city I am proud to call my home and I am thrilled to share with you all that it has to offer.
I received the Grande Diplome from the French Culinary Institute in New York City where I studied classic French culinary techniques as well as pastry arts, artisanal bread baking, fundamentals of wine, catering and restaurant management. While attending the FCI, I was lucky enough to train with world renowned chefs Jacques Pepin, Andre Soltner and Alain Sailhac. During my stay in New York City, I worked as a private caterer and interned at Public Restaurant and L’Ecole, both located in the Soho district. In addition to the culinary arts, travel is also a large part of my life. While traveling throughout the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand I developed a love for various cuisines, of which has allowed me to appreciate the unique attributes various regions apply to their culinary experience. My diversified interests and enthusiasm for the culinary arts will continue to be a catalyst in my pursuit to educate and entertain the foodie community.
