Erin Holbrook has had the “entertainment bug” since she was young. At the tender age of four, Erin could be seen in her family’s living room hosting shows like “Double Dare”
and “Family Feud.” Growing up, she shined in numerous theatre performances, show choirs, and dance teams. She then attended Clemson University, submerging herself with classes in theatre, broadcast journalism, and public speaking. While obtaining her degree in Media Communications, she was most recognized for her participation on the University’s Varsity dance team, as they earned the title of 6 th in the nation. During her time on the Rally Cats, she earned several awards and had the opportunity to take part in numerous print ads. In the summers, she furthered her career by interning at a Clear Channel radio station in Detroit. There she shined as a voiceover talent on commercials as well as an on-air traffic reporter during the weekly shows. The next summer, she submerged herself at a television station in Atlanta with a UPN show called Atlanta Tonight. There she became familiar with the entertainment industry as she interviewed celebrities and public figures on a daily basis.
Upon graduating from Clemson, she moved to the best city in the world: CHICAGO! She began working with a casting agency in the downtown area, and immersed herself as an actress in the off-Broadway show “The Awesome 80’s Prom,” playing the lead role of Whitley Whitaker, the feisty yet loveable cheerleader. She can be seen at tradeshows throughout the city, as well as being featured on a CBS promotional commercial. She also continued training at other schools, including The Second City, The Acting Studio, and Act One Studios. Erin was then swept away from the Windy City when she received an offer to become the MC and host of a campaign sponsored by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention called VERB. She then headed off to the west coast for three months to speak to teenagers about the importance of being physically active. It wasn’t until she was gone that she realized how much she loved Chicago! She currently lives in Chicago’s Lakeview area, where she can be seen running along the lake, hitting up the shops on Armitage, or teaching children’s theatre with The Entertainment Project in Roscoe Village. Erin is so excited to show everything that Chicago has to offer with Ten Toe. TV! See ya around the Windy City!
